Do the Math...

They say you only need an extra 300 calories a day during pregnancy. But you're also supposed to gain one pound a week the last 20 weeks.

One pound=3500 calories

3500 calories divided by 7 (days in the week) = 500

So you REALLY need an extra 500 calories a day.

Good. Now I don't feel so bad about all the mint chocolate oreos I've been eating lately...

Jackie Chan's Baby...

I SWEAR I'm carrying Jackie Chan's baby. This kid is constantly on the move!

I miss sushi...

One thing that sucks about being pregnant is you can't have sushi. I especially love Sashimi. It's soooo fresh and healthy. Lately I've been craving all things sushi. Like yellow fin tuna. And Unagi. And spicy tempura tuna & salmon rolls! Thank goodness this place by my house has yummy shrimp summer rolls (and yes, pregos can have the occasional shrimp!). These are a far cry from the real deal but will have to do. For now at least.

Lazy Sundays...

I don't know about you but I love Sundays. I think they're my favorite day of the week. Yesterday we slept in then made homemade waffles with fresh strawberries and whip cream for breakfast. And OJ and this great applewood smoked bacon. We sat around in our cozy PJ's all afternoon. Watched football and golf and looked online at baby furniture. We didn't leave the house all day... Sometimes you just need a day like that. Hope you had a nice Sunday too.

The M Girls... {Brooke, Jacqueline & Amber}

First Birthday... {Talan}

Talan is O-N-E! This little guy was celebrating a major milestone after being born several weeks early and having a GREAT year of growing! Lots of friends and family gathered to help him celebrate his Elmo themed party. We shot some quick pics before his guests arrived and although he's not smiling (in any of them!) you can still tell he's a super cutie. Cake Smash... {Talan}

I had to split Talan's birthday into two posts because the cake smash was just too funny. I've never seen a kid covered in so much frosting before! It was stuck to his eyelashes, up his nose, everywhere! He really went to town with his first birthday cake, I'd definitely say it was a success. Happy First Birthday Talan! Matty is O-N-E! We took a few pics of the birthday boy before diving into the best part of his day, the Cake Smash! This little guy is so cute. He wasn't really sure what to do with the cake and didn't like the sweet frosting but it was still fun to see him get all messy and sugar coated. Happy First Birthday Matty!
