Pretty...

Like any girl I love fresh flowers.

They brighten any room, lighten any mood...

Coral pink roses are my very favorite.

These were waiting for me when I got back from a work trip after missing Mother's Day this year.

And I enjoyed their loveliness all week.

Because Really...

What girl doesn't like flowers on her birthday??

Hyacinth from my mom...

And Tulips from Rob...

Apparently little doggies like flowers too... :)

Something Sunny...

We've been getting a lot of rain lately so I wanted to post something sunny. This is the English Lavender plant from our front walkway. I love Lavender! It smells sooooo good. And it's purple! And low maintenance. You plant it then forget it. And never have to do anything to keep it alive. It just keeps coming back year after year. Definitely my kind of plant...

Wishful Thinking...

Wish I had a green thumb. Because if I did, I'd grow big, pink puffy dahlias like these. But I'm no gardener. I hate weeding and my plants never last more than two weeks. So instead I admire my neighbors flowers. Every day. While I walk the dogs. And wish to myself that I had a pretty yard filled with flowers too. Maybe next year...

Cherry Blossoms

One of my favorite things about Spring are the Cherry Blossom trees and their fluffy pale pink blossoms. When I was a kid we had several of these in our backyard and I first fell in love with them then. The first house Rob and I bought had one in the front yard near the street. I always parked under it and every Spring my car would be sprinkled with thousands and thousand of pale pink polka dots. Now we have one in our backyard and I love catching wafts of their sweet scent while I'm in the yard. Ahhh Spring....!

Little Taste of Spring...

I realize flowers aren't that exciting but I love having them in the house. And how bright and cheery they are, they put me in a good mood every time I see them. Rob brought these home Saturday and I wanted a pic before they wilted away (cause we all know flowers have a short shelf life!)
