Hope your Fourth was a Blast...

We had a long weekend at the beach with family and plenty of fireworks to boot. Hope you had a nice one too.

The Hulk would dig these...

I never decorate for St. Patty's Day (sorry, I've just never been a fan of Kelly Green!). But I wanted to do something fun to celebrate. So last night I made green vanilla cupcakes (and yes, the batter really was green) paired with a cold glass of green milk. Maybe it's not Irish but at least it's festive. And they tasted good too :)

Feelin' the Love...

I love having seasonal decorations in the house. Not a lot but just enough to remind us what's coming up, like this little Valentine tree in our downstairs bathroom. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! Since it falls on a Sunday this year Rob and I are celebrating it tonight instead. We'll be hanging at home with steak, lobster and a movie. Our V-Day tradition. Hope whatever you do your holiday of L-O-V-E is sweet too.

And These Are a Few of My Favorite Things...

With the New Year almost upon us I thought it appropriate to close out the holiday season with a look at some of my favorite things...

Trimming the tree with the hubby...

Cute dogs napping in Santa hats...

Bight paper packages wrapped under the tree...

Christmas cards arriving daily...

(Ya'll know you're on my fridge, right?)

Cinnamon scented pine cones...
Wish you could smell these...

Festive holiday socks...

Anything silver and shiny...
I added these to my collection this year...

Anything Snowman...

Stockings hung by the chimney with care...
Next year, you will see, there will be one more there...

And taking it all in...

I hope you enjoyed the holidays as much as I did this year.
Wishing you much love, happiness, peace and prosperity in 2010.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas to me means spending time with the people you love most. Eating good food. Keeping holiday traditions. And making memories. I painted this ornament for Rob at my parents kitchen table for one of our first Christmas's together. And while my painting skills resemble that of a 7 year olds, it's fun to rediscover little treasures like these during the holidays. I hope your Christmas was one you will treasure and remember for years to come. Merry Christmas Everyone :)

A Cause for Celebration...

It's the Fourth of July! While I know we all appreciate what this day means to our country (and let's be real--the extra day off work!) I'm looking forward to some awesome weather today, good BBQ and a fun time with friends. Hope you have a great Fourth as well. Be safe!

Happy Easter!

Our house has been invaded by bunnies, eggs and pastels. Hope you're spending today in the company of family and friends. May it involve love, laughter and a tasty meal. Happy Easter!

It wouldn't be Easter...

Without Jelly Beans. You'd think with all the candy in our house that we'd have kids or something... But no, I'm just a grown up who likes her sugar. And I love Jelly Bellies. Especially the Buttered Popcorn and Strawberry Cheesecake ones. To be savored separately of course... What's your favorite flavor?

Hangin' with my Peeps...

Every spring when the stores display their Easter candy I always think of Rob's mom. She loves Peeps! And with a fluffy marshmellow center and only 30 calories per bunny, what a sweet Easter treat they are. I'm already on my second box, thank goodness I share!
