Northwest Folklife Festival 2009...

OK, so this going back quite a bit. Again. Late May. While my brother was in town my mom, brother and I spent a day at the Northwest Folklife Festival. It's an annual Seattle area community festival celebrating all things folk, ethnic and traditional in terms of music and arts. I've actually never been. I've always (ashamedly) stayed away thinking it was nothing more than a bunch of hooka smoking hippies selling hemp clothes and wafting Nag-Chamba incense through the air. But we decided to go this year. And I'm glad we did! It was a fun day and there was tons to take in. And photograph. So I did and here was my experience below.

Lanette, I think you got Folklife and Hemp fest mixed up! LOL. No I guess folk life has some of that too. It's looks like fun... a little too busy for me tho! Glad you had fun

Cute pic! Make the leap to facebook. I'll help you with how ever you want to make your profile. So no crazy people can find you ! Then you can see all my pics from the last 2 months since I am too lame to do both :)

lol, I know, I was thinking that as I wrote it (Oops, maybe that's Hemp fest!) But I did walk through a few clouds of people smoking stuff, saw a hooka, some hackey sacking and smelled Nag-chamba incense, it just wasn't as prevalent as i assumed it would be! :) I know, I'm gonna get on Facebook this week. Decided. Finally. :)
